The olympic champion Patrizio Oliva ambassador for Napoli 2019 Volunteer Campaign

The campaign for the recruitment of volunteers for the next University Games, scheduled for July 3-14, was presented this morning in the headquarters of Napoli 2019 inside the Mostra d’Oltremare. Patrizio Oliva, who is one of the Italian sports legends (gold medal in Moscow Olympics 1980), was elected as testimonial of the event. He addressed the audience of potential volunteers, proudly representing his region and saying: “It is a unique opportunity for young people to put their knowledge into practice in various sectors, from marketing to hospitality: In life, as in sport, the one who has more technical competencies does not always win, but the one who knows how to apply it in the best way”.
“Being a Universiade volunteer – assures the general coordinator of Napoli 2019, Adam Sotiaridis – is an experience that enriches the CV and whose benefits will unfold over time”.
The extraordinary commissioner Gianluca Basile then goes into the volunteers’ activities issue: “They will be involved in several sectors and many of them will work closely with the organization. Those provided by the Civil Protection, around 1500, will support the police. “They will cooperate with a thousand volunteers from the individual federations. For all of them it will be a great experience.” It is possible to submit the application, filling in the form on the Universiade official website, www.universiade2019.napoli.it in volunteers section.
“My daughter – ends Patrizio Oliva – has applied to participate as a volunteer as well”.
