3) All participants captured under the Media category will have to individually collect their accreditation card from the Accreditation Center MPC located in the Main Press Centre (MPC) at Mostra d’Oltremare, and show the ID submitted at the time of application. Upon registration on the Media Application Portal, Media Representatives will receive information regarding access and services of the MPC. MBS (Media and Broadcast Services) FA (Functional Area) will be in charge of sharing a Media Guide with all the relevant details regarding accreditation regulations, dedicated venues, spaces and services.

4)The bibs will be delivered to the MPC (Main Press Center). The entitled parties must show the Accreditation Card and the personal ID indicated at the time of registration. Any inappropriate use will implicate the immediate withdrawal of the accreditation and the restriction to any event related to Napoli 2019. The use of the bib is necessary in order to access specific areas, for example the FoP (Field of Play) or field of competition. Therefore, it is absolutely necessary to wear it in order to access the assigned area and not to hinder the staff operations. At the end of the Games it will not be necessary to return the equipment since the Organizing Committee is pleased to donate the bib as a special souvenir of the Event. Professional cameras and other material used by Media Representatives will be accompanied by a sticker (Media Sticker) with a unique identification code. This sticker must accompany the material throughout the duration of the Games.

5) The Transportation Plan of the Universiade Napoli 2019 guarantees a transfer service offered to the Media. The transportation service provided to the media will be a mixed service between Bus Operations and Fleet Operations. In fact, in order to adapt services to the relative demand, a flexible system including the use of 7-9 seater cars with driver instead of using buses is provided when demand is very low. Generally, the Media transportation system (also indicated with the TM code) is identified in low-frequency bus lines originating from the Main Press Centre (MPC), at the Mostra D’Oltremare Napoli, towards the main competition venues throughout the regional territory and the Athletes Village. Therefore, the creation of a single transportation hub is planned at the MPC, where the logistics service center will be located. Transfer from/to official Media Hotels to MPC is offered as well. Any transfer for Arrivals and Departures from/to Capodichino International Airport will be evaluated.

6)The media work areas in each venue will be:

  • Press Conference Room
  • Press Box
  • Press Workroom

In addition, for each field of competition, photographers will be assigned to a special PP (Photo Position) area. The PP area and its use will be regulated according to the single venue and the sport practiced. The Photo Manager will establish the correct use of the PP areas and will be responsible for the allocation, in certain Sports, of the PP slots. All areas where Media will have access will be provided with a Wi-Fi connection. Workrooms will also provide LAN connections.

The media accreditation deadline is up to 24:00hrs 25th May.
