The company Cag Chemical from Mondragone, in the province of Caserta, will be the official supplier of chemical material for the water treatment of swimming pools and venues of the 30th Summer Universiade.
The agreement was signed this morning by the president of the company, Giovanni Capizzi, and the extraordinary commissioner for Napoli 2019, Gianluca Basile. “This collaboration makes me particularly proud because my company is at the service of the land I come from for the very first time”, commented the Neapolitan engineer who was responsible with his thirty-year company for the Olympic swimming pools in Rio 2016 and will be responsible for those of Expo 2020 in Abu Dhabi.
“For the Universiade – explained Capizzi – We will use our international patent, the Ale6: A chlorine-based product that has antifungal and disinfectant properties allowing athletes to dive in total safety. Indeed, many athletes with immunodeficiencies are recognizable by the sores they have around fingernails and toenails, but they are often unaware of this pathology. The water treatment will start on May 3rd and this product will allow to arrive at the end of June with perfect water conditions”. Extraordinary commissioner Basile expressed great satisfaction too: “The agreement signed today will allow us to have high safety standards in water sports, thanks to the expertise and professionalism of one of the world leaders in this sector”.
